LinkedIn launches LinkedIn Recruiter in French, offering recruiting professionals access to the best source of talent online

September 20, 2012

Paris — September 20, 2012 — LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network with more than 175 million members worldwide, including 4 million members in France, has announced the release of the French version of LinkedIn Recruiter, the flagship product in its Hiring Solutions offering. This localized version will enable human resources departments in French companies to streamline their talent acquisition process.

Recruiter - a tool that simplifies the candidate search process

Launched in 2008, Recruiter was designed to work intuitively to fit individual corporate staffing departments' needs, giving users reach into LinkedIn's network of 175 million professionals. Users can search by a wide range of criteria, including title, seniority, geography, company and keywords to find more contacts that best fit their search criteria.

Unlike other recruiting tools that only enable users to reach active inbound candidates, LinkedIn Recruiter gives recruiters the unique advantage of being able to find and communicate with passive candidates who make up 80 percent of the professional workforce (source LinkedIn).

The main services and features that HR departments can leverage in Recruiter are:

  • Complete visibility of names and profiles far beyond 1st and 2nd degree connections.
  • Prospect of finding qualified candidates faster with high-performance filters (such as length of service, title, and much more).
  • Up to 50 InMails (emails sent via the LinkedIn platform) per month to possible candidates Configuration of up to 50 search alerts to spot new candidates and stay notified of any new profiles showing up on the network that match their predefined search parameters.
  • Structured sourcing management by creating recruitment folders.
  • Collaborative portal where all staffing team members get visibility into their colleagues' activity.
  • Online help resource giving staffing professionals access to a catalog of training modules covering all the features of LI Recruiter.

Hiring in the French market
Over 12,000 companies around the world place their trust in LinkedIn's Hiring Solutions to find the best candidates in a large number of sectors.

Recruiter was initially introduced into the French market in its English version and has already proven a tremendous success. In France, more than 100 enterprises, including 75 percent of CAC 40 companies, currently use the Recruiter solution.

LinkedIn Recruiter's arrival in the French market has enabled recruitment professionals to see more leads, reduce their third-party spend, develop their talent pipeline, save time and increase their visibility.

The French version of Recruiter will enable HR departments to streamline and simplify their talent acquisition process, while enhancing the tool's intuitive design.

"With four million members in the French market and one year after opening the French office, we’re now investing in making the LinkedIn experience more relevant for our French customers," explains Pierre Berlin, Commercial Director, Southern Europe, Hiring Solutions.

"We are aiming to simplify the recruitment process. The French version represents a step in this direction and will help us reach out to even more companies looking to achieve the best returns from their recruitment process."

The entire tool has been translated and is now available in the French market. Recruiters will have the option of continuing to use the tool in English or in French.
